Educational Objectives

Educational Aim:
The aim of this module is to provide a description of a useful method to measure the students’ perception of the quality of their instruction at remote clinical learning centres during the year that they spend there.

Editor's comments:
Medical schools in South Africa cannot provide sufficient space for the increasing numbers of students in the existing academic institutions. Developing a teaching platform that is affiliated with the medical school creates not only more space but can provide a very satisfactory learning experience.

Educational Outcomes:
Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of:

  1. What the Med Ed IQ is.
  2. How to use the Med Ed IQ and its application.
  3. The role of students in assessing instructional quality.
  4. Have better knowledge and understanding of BCMP training in South Africa.
