Educational Aim:
The aim of this article is to gain an understanding of the prevalence and burden of TB in persons with SUD in the Eastern Metro of Cape Town.

This study was conducted in the Eastern Metro of Cape Town, but refers to similar studies in different parts of the country and globally. However, there is still a paucity of data regarding TB in persons with SUD in South Africa.
