Educational Aim:
The aim of this article is to determine the effect that facilitated peer-group clubs designed for African Young Women, assists in building their self-esteem regarding fostering a supportive peer network regarding their sexual and reproductive health.

Educational Outcomes:
Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of:

  1. Exploring the perceived benefits of participation in peer-group clubs to better understand how the combination of these interventions can incorporate social support and mental health components in a manner that ensures that their relevance and effectiveness are optimized.

  2. Understand the benefits of participating in peer-group clubs is in terms of the effect of increased peer support, gender empowerment, access emotional support, self-esteem, gender empowerment, and the positive role play can contribute to improved well-being and mental health is.
