This aim of this study was to describe blood transfusion practice and explore doctors’ attitudes towards transfusion.

Educational Objectives

Educational Aim:
The aim of this CME is to know how doctors actually practice blood transfusion based on their underlying attitudes and compared to the current gold standard of transfusion practice.

Educational Outcomes:
Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of:

1. Doctors current practice of red blood cell transfusion

2. Doctors’ attitudes to transfusion
3. Current best red blood cell transfusion practice.
