This study looked at both high and low energy trauma in the subarctic regions of the Nordic countries. It aimed to compare the rate and cause of fatal traumatic injuries over a 5 year period.

Educational Aim:
The aim of this article is to look at the differences in traumatic fatal injuries that occur in the Nordic countries and the epidemiology of said trauma to look at the possible preventative strategies and trauma care systems these regions may need.

  1. How serious injuries in rural areas may have lower survival rates than urban areas

  2. What influences the delay in proper emergency care
  3. Various mechanisms of injury that may cause fatal injuries.
