Educational Aim:
The aim of this article is to describe experiences of professional nurses working with NQNs who placed for community service.

Editor's comments:
To manage professional nurses’ expectations of Newly Qualified Nurses, there is a need for re-orientation of the objectives for Community Service. 
Mentoring programmes for professional nurses will assist in the supervisory role and fast track the release of Newly Qualified Nurses to independency.
