Educational aim:

The aim of this short course is to equip healthcare professionals with information regarding all the different stages of breast anatomy. Educational Outcomes: Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the breasts at the following stages of life:

  • Embryology
  • Breast Development
  • The Dormant Breast
  • Pregnancy
  • Menopause

PowerPoint slideshows for each five stages of life is available for the participant to experience as if they were attending a lecture in a university classroom or an online Zoom presentation with visual demonstrations and pre-recorded voice overs. PDFs are also provided for participants to read through on their own time after watching and listening to all five sections. Each section has a tailored quiz to be completed, to gain CPD points for the short course.
