Educational Aim:
The aim of this article to look at the role of Speech Therapist in treating an unexplained chronic cough, as well as other underlying laryngeal conditions.

Editor's comments:

This article provides useful guidelines for practical therapy. While this article demonstrated a short term effect only with speech therapy intervention, another article looks at the role of PSLATI (Physiotherapy and Speech Language Therapy Intervention). This second article demonstrated that PSALTI significantly reduced objective cough frequency and improved quality of life with unexplained chromic cough.
