Educational Aim:
The aim of this article is to update the knowledge of practitioners on the planning of BT with MR imaging.

Educational Outcomes:
Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of the:

  2. Layers of the cervix seen on sagittal T2-weighted magnetic resonance (MR) images; 
  3. Risks during high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy BT segmentation;
  4. International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) staging of cervix cancer;
  5. Applicator systems in HDR BT;
  6. Perforation of the cervix and uterus after external beam radiation therapy; and the
  7. MR imaging for BT.
