The article provides an overview of cerebral palsy. A Speech therapist working with a child with cerebral palsy, must include the care-givers in therapy and be mindful of their parental stressors. The speech therapist must also be aware of the roles of other professionals and when they need to work together to figure out better solutions for the child with Cerebral Palsy and their caregivers (e.g. for positioning for feeding).
