Educational Aim:
The aim is to make the anaesthetist aware of the background pathologies that the paediatric patient may have that require adenotonsillectomy as treatment, as these pathologies will influence the intra-operative and post-operative anaesthetic management of the patient independent of the surgery.

Educational Outcomes:

  2. The risk factors for continual OSA after tonsillectomy.
  3. Comparing the indications, efficacy, recovery and morbidity of tonsillotomy with tonsillectomy.
