Investigating the quality of the first- and second-generation Air Quality Management Plans of the Vaal Triangle Airshed Priority Area

The Lee and Colley review package was adopted and modified in this study to review the quality of the first- and second-generation Air Quality Management Plans of the Vaal Triangle Airshed Priority Area. Quality evaluation included analysis of procedures, processes, methods, and documents. The results indicated that the quality of both plans was good with the 1st generation plan to be found of better quality. Budgetary constraints were found to be the main reason for poor implementation of the plan.

Educational Objectives

Educational Aim:
The main aim of the study was to determine the quality of the Air Quality Management Plans of the Vaal Triangle Airshed Priority Area. This was done to identify and rectify any shortcomings for improving the air quality of the airshed.
