The aim of this article is to identify the Occupational Therapy interventions in adults with severe mental illness which have been most investigated in previous intervention studies and to describe their characteristics.

Educational Outcomes:
Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of:

  3. The importance of regular OT intervention in SMI for cognition, social skills and mood.
