Educational Aim:
The aim of this article was to look at the various resuscitation techniques (based on AHA guidelines) in relation to BLS and ALS resuscitation rules and predictive performances where resuscitation guidelines have been updated but not yet validated against the termination of resuscitation rule.

Upon completion of this module practitioners should have a clear understanding of:

  1. BLS and ALS protocols regarding resuscitation

  2. Termination of resuscitation rule
  3. AHA guidelines relating to CPR.
