Editor's comments:
DH is one of the most frequently encountered clinical conditions in general clinical practices. Studies show that there are significant knowledge gaps relating to diagnosis and treatment strategies for managing DH patients. DH thus has become a rising concern in clinical dental practice due to pain and discomfort and negative effects on patient’s quality of life.

Educational Outcomes:

  1. The physiology of dentine
  2. The cause (etiopathogenesis) of DH
  3. Clinical presentation of DH
  4. Prevalence of DH
  5. Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of DH
  6. Management of DH
  7. Classification desensitizing agents
  8. Occlusion of dentinal tubules
  9. Restoration and material selection
